I'll HAVE to post some photos from our neighborhood Trick-Or-Treating! It's like something out of Mayberry! We start with a pet parade, music, etc. and then massive chaos! We usually run out of ALL of our candy in the first 30 min! Bags, bags and bags of candy!

We never know how much to buy. We are located right across from the huge green and everyone loves all of our decorations. WE really get into Halloween! My husband works the Fog Machine, we have a spooky motion skeleton, black lights at night around the porch and instead of our regular fan lights on the porch, we have black lights. When people walk by our skeleton, the little red eyes light up and sings a spooky Halloween Song!

We see people come up to it all day long! It really scares the beejezees out of me when I walk past to plant flowers and forget about it. :)

Decided today that I would dedicate ALL WEEK to cooking...NO eating out. Straight cooking! We'll see how that goes! Shopped today and bought fresh local grown veggies, homemade from scratch loaves of bread: Sour dough, pumpkin, apple pie bread (I'll have to take a photo of this one!). Local Grown Mountain Apples that SMELL like apples! Organic Meats from our local butcher shop!

Really, I didn't know the "finds" we have here in Ft. Mill, SC! We have a cut to order butcher shop where you can call ahead for them to cut pieces as you need in the sizes you need. I really like getting the roast there. I tell him what I want, and they literally bring out a large piece of beef! Cut right there, wrap and it's ready to go!

Our NEW bread shop makes all of their breads daily! I luckly caught them today when they were on their second batch of pumpkin bread! I purchased 2 loaves...one for us and one for a friend. You can also sample ANYTHING and they even give you little bags to take the samples home!

The Butcher Shop also had local made mulling spices! Tonight after this HUGE cold front moved in, (32!), I decided to whip up a mug full! I grew up drinking TANG Drink Mix. I decided I wanted a strong spice drink so I mixed OJ, Tang Powder and about 1/2 teaspoon of mulling spice. IT WAS YUMMY!

I am starting to like this FALL thing. Pumpkin Bread, Scented Candles, Spice Orange Drink, Chili, Soups, Hot Sandwiches.

YUMMY S'mores Recipes!!

Our local grocery store was sold out of Graham Crackers and Marshmallows! It's such a tradition around here to eat S'mores the whole month of October!! I have had my share believe me! I decided to find a couple recipes to share with you!!
(One good thing is that bathing suit season is SO many months away!! PLUS there is ALWAYS January for our New Year's resolutions!)

S'mores Toffee Almond Bars

Ingredients:
12 to 14 whole graham crackers
3/4 cup HEATH BITS 'O BRICKLE Toffee Bits
1/4 cup light corn syrup
2 cups miniature marshmallows
3/4 cup sliced almonds
4 (1.55 oz. each) HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Bars, coarsely chopped
Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 300°F. Arrange graham crackers to cover bottom of 15-1/2x10-1/2x1-inch jelly-roll pan.
2. Place toffee bits and corn syrup in small, heavy saucepan; cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until toffee is melted (small bits of almond will remain). Immediately pour mixture over graham crackers, spreading to cover crackers as much as possible.
3. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until toffee mixture is spreadable. Remove from oven; immediately spread toffee mixture to cover crackers. Top with marshmallows and almonds.
4. Return to oven; bake 3 to 5 minutes or until marshmallows begin to puff. Remove from oven; sprinkle surface with candy bar pieces. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. About 3 dozen bars.

S'mores Blondie Pie
Ingredients:
6 (1.55 oz. each) HERSHEY'S Milk Chocolate Bars (about 1-1/2 cups), divided
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 teaspoon baking powder
1-1/2 cups marshmallow creme
1/4 teaspoon shortening(do not use margarine, butter, spread or oil)
Ice cream(optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Unwrap chocolate bars; break into pieces.
2. Beat butter and sugar until blended in medium bowl. Add egg; beat until light and fluffy. Stir in flour, graham cracker crumbs and baking powder; beat until well blended.
3. Press half of dough onto bottom and up sides of pie plate. Spread marshmallow creme over bottom of crust. Set aside 1 tablespoon chocolate bar pieces; sprinkle the remaining pieces evenly over marshmallow creme.
4. Form remaining dough into ball; place on sheet of waxed paper. With fingers, flatten and shape into 9-inch circle. Pick up waxed paper, supporting dough with hands. Flip dough onto pie surface; peel off waxed paper. Pinch edges of dough together and form crust edge.
5.. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Melt remaining chocolate bar pieces with shortening; drizzle over top of pie.To serve, microwave slices at HIGH (100%) 15 to 20 seconds or until slightly warm and marshmallow starts to melt. Top with ice cream, if desired.
