What's the new symbol on The Palm Gifts??

You might have noticed a new little symbol on our product pages and website! It reads page protected by COPYSCAPE Do not copy!
Here is why:
We have been painfully aware of a website that continues to copy our ORIGINAL content, descriptions, keywords, and photographs...basically daily. Although we know they will ALWAYS do this, we have taken steps to make it harder for them to do so. We added a program to our website that not only disables the right click function, but also alerts us to when it happens.
All of this information is stored and recorded, so we will have a clear snapshot of what is going on when someone takes the easy way and copies our original work.
We think it is so sad that we have to even add this feature. That companies do not have high standards, and copy others ORIGINAL work to promote their own good.

Come on, The Palm Gifts is founded by stay-at-home moms! Not a mega corporation. Stay-at-home Moms that work MANY hours while looking after their children. We count on our customers and we look after them. It is so sad to us that someone is so greedy that they would attempt to use our own hard work to advance their company.
For over the past 4 1/2 years, The Palm Gifts work countless hours, daily with customer service, working to ship out our products as quickly as possible, looking for new products, typing accurate descriptions, and editing photos. This copycat website just opened last year, and has used our keywords, descriptions, product photos, and vendors that they do not have permission to use in order to advance their website.
We have become aware of a website that continuously copies our original work, keywords, and photos. We are amazed at how far their unethical business practices go, as to take work that does not belong to them without permission. We are amazed at how rude they are after we bring this to their attention. We are amazed at hateful they are to US after they copied OUR original work.
We also feel very sad for the other company because they are unwilling to be original and have to copy and steal others original work. EVEN after it was brought to their attention. We only know this will continue to go on, because we have attempted to work with the company and ask for them to stop their unethical business practices without success.
